Height: 169 cm
Body type: He is 169 cm tall, a body of an attractive inverse triangle with wide shoulders, courtesy of his father. However, he doesn't appreciate the attention and is also is hesitant to accept the ikemen label. His skin is of a light beige with a yellowish undertone. When he hit puberty and exercise became one of his coping mechanisms, his body began to build muscle, remaining fit thanks to a good (Japanese) diet. He constantly practices soccer, parkour, and running. He has a lot of stamina and muscle strength, including the speed which characterized every player in Setagaya Elementary. Finally, he has an arrange of kumihimo Kin left behind, each a color of the rainbow, wearing one daily on his left wrist.
Appearance: His well-groomed brown hair is rather average in style, gently framing his face. Thanks to the perpetual gentleness in his jade green eyes, he seems approachable. Despite being fit, his cheeks retain some natural fat. Also, the few moments he had to deal with pimples were times to panic and a huge blow on his self-esteem. One of his characteristic expressions is his challenging smile which he reserves for those close to him, Kiyoshi and Itsuki.
l||l ┈ ┈ ┈ ⋞ 〈 PERSONALITY 〉 ⋟ ┈ ┈ ┈ l||l
Adventurous and sociable, he is a true free spirit who wants to have a fun time with his friends. Living up to his name, he is always willing to help and take responsibility for it to the very end. Because of his approachable and gentle nature, he is quite popular in the groups he belongs to. However, he tends to neglect his feelings and derails the topic of personal questions. As a consequence, he has fewer intimate connections than acquaintances. Furthermore, he can be rather naive when it comes to romantic relationships and dense of other people's feelings. Lastly, he is lawful and obedient but not a rule enforcer. His spontaneous and independent nature leads him to prefer staying non-committal. He has an aversion for promises.Being the subject of ill rumors is a quick damp in his mood, snapping his tolerant self to moody and detached, a means of protection against hurt. He conceals anger with the same quiet detachment, adding a strained silence to the mix. In this mood, he is annoyingly stubborn. However, if he falls into an argument, it is unlikely he shows this attitude to others except for Kiyoshi and Itsuki. To them, he displays genuine wrath and is rather childish, wanting things to go his way. He can also be quite protective and possessive of the two, a trait that poisons the codependent behaviors he is trying to break from.

Family: Keima lives in a duplex with his parents and a golden retriever. After his brother's death, his mom began to pay more attention to him which pushed Keima further to pretend he was unaffected by the trauma. He has a mild relationship with his father who is more acute of his changes. Keima acknowledges his father's silent care and is grateful for the personal space but doesn't trust him as emotional support. Nevertheless, they have had the habit of playing shogi matches every weekend after dinner since Keima was little. Despite the somewhat strained and shallow relationship with his parents, he does his best to help out in the house, helping clean up after dinner and taking care of Hachi-dan. He is obedient to their favors and executes them without reproach.
Friends: Kiyoshi is the closest person to Keima. After he saved the boy from being bullied, they became inseparable, teased as the Princess and her Knight. The blonde boy's calm disposition starkly contrasts Keima's impulsive one. Keima is the one who takes the initiative in their activities and Kiyoshi goes along. They explore the city, play with Hachi-dan, and play sports together. He has taken note of the things his friend cannot take, in particular, crowded places. They don't attend festivals together or go to popular places, the forced exception being school events. Kiyoshi's restrictions have given them a lot of time alone which they sometimes use to talk about their issues forming a close bond. Keima willing to do things his best friend prefers, mellower activities like reading manga, playing videogames and spending time in an abandoned local park.
People In Their Personal Life: He is well acquaintanced with his peers and the senpais that used to go to Setagaya elementary. He is part of the performing group at the local shrine and is friends with the priest's son. They shared a mutual interest in Japanese culture and customs but their relationship began to fade when they started middle school. Currently, he spends the most time with Itsuki and Hisako, his classmates, and his teammates in the soccer club. He likes to chat with them on the way back home, stop by a convenience store and stay there for a while. Keima truly has many connections and enjoys spending time with everyone, however, most of those the relationships remain light-hearted.
l||l ┈ ┈ ┈ ⋞ 〈 PERSONAL QUALITIES 〉 ⋟ ┈ ┈ ┈ l||l
Likes: He is a traditionalist, lover of all things Japanese: festivals, traditional music, and culture, save from boring political history. He is a dog person and loves to spend his time with his eight-year-old golden, Hachi-dan. He likes to play soccer, shogi, videogames, and table-top games. Finally, he enjoys going out and engaging with people, plus being of help.
Dislikes: A quick damp in his is seeing envious people, those who talk behind his back and make wrong judgments about him. He also has a fear of cats, dislikes homework, negative emotions, and is afraid of committing to something if it will take away some of his freedom.
Skills: Keima is extremely friendly and good at dealing with people daily. Except for soccer, he likes to work in groups and make everyone have fun. He is also good at reading the mood in a room and an individual's, however, he only does extreme adjustments to his behavior for Kiyoshi, ignoring feelings but not commenting on them either. He is learning critical thinking as part of going through obstacles in parkour, plus freerunning and vaulting.
Hobbies: Sports, listening to the radio, soccer, traditional dancing, shogi.
Introvert/Extrovert: Extrovert
Orientation: Demiromantic asexual
Strengths: A natural optimist, he is willing to make people see the bright to any bad. He is open to new and fun ideas as long as they are legal and in good fun, making him a great choice to hang around although his enthusiasm can be overbearing to mellow people. Like the animal he takes after, Keima is loyal to the end, no matter how horrible a person truly is when he has previously placed his trust in--case in point his best friend. His chivalry compels to follow a basic sense of morality which can solve simple issues analyzed at a shallow level.
Weaknesses: When Kin's anniversary comes around, thoughts of him render him fragile. His sharp focus becomes hazy and he loses confidence as he recalls how the tragedy was his fault. The guilt is crushing, making his chest ache. As an extrovert, retracting himself from social interaction only makes him feel worse, needing others to recharge but not wanting anyone to know his true feelings. Everything he enjoys in tainted with guilt, wilting positive feelings and replacing them with self-hatred and anxiety. The only exception to his independence is Kiyoshi. No matter what the boy does, he is unable to hate him or to cut ties. They feed each other's codependent behaviors like relying on each other to improve their self-esteem and sacrificing their own need for each other's happiness.
Fatal Flaw(s): His two key fatal flaws are codependency and ignorance. The first comes to light in its ugliest form during his first year in middle school after he breaks up with Kiyoshi. He refrained from getting emotionally close to his peers, clubmates, and friends. When he needed someone after losing the match against Mikage, he easily fell into a whirlpool of self-hatred while clinging to the thought Kiyoshi was the only one who would accept his weak and selfish self. On ignorance, Keima tends to lie to himself, pushing away troubling thoughts and pain behind an "I'm fine." Also, he pretends to not catch silent cues in uncomfortable conversations about emotions, ignoring people's feelings for him to satisfy his underlying need for attention.
Philosophy: After rationalizing Kin's death, he swore to himself he would be selfless and caring. This decision took shape as living up to his name and helping those around him, offering his aid to those who ask or seem to need help even if they say they don't want it. However, the day Kiyoshi told him to kill him changed something--Kiyoshi was the exception and flaw in his philosophy; his bias and preference. Thus, he couldn't kill him to prevent more victims in the soccer field. Instead, he promised he wouldn't allow Kiyoshi to hurt others, even at the cost of himself. The sacrifice usually took the form of mental health, and from time to time physical. This self-sacrifice became a general habit. He decided to bear this pain under the notion that a selfless knight must not take pleasure from their actions but do it out of duty; yet, there are times where he truly enjoys helping people and being thanked.
Fears: He is scared of hurting others by being emotionally vulnerable or being a burden, an attitude he picked because of his mother's fragility of mind after Kin's death. This leads him to not open up to others and gaining the emotional support he needed, leaving him to deal with the ragging emotions he can only deny. It is a spiral of pain and self-harm. Otherwise, after Kiyoshi's calico scratched Hachi-dan's eye, he is terrified of cats. Finally, aware that society frowns upon homosexuality, he fears to show the smallest hint of romantic affection to Kiyoshi by accident.
Insecurities: Because of his guilt, he believes he is undeserving of love and affection, pushing him to constantly insist so if allowed. It poisons his emotional health and made him unable to confess his feelings towards Kiyoshi whom he desires so much. He is also aimless, unconcerned for the future and unwanting the responsibilities it brings. Despite accepting his asexuality, he is unsure he would be loved if it is misunderstood as sex-repulsion, the appropriate term.

Epithet: The Knight
Position: Forward; Ace striker
Number: 10
Team: Tengawara
Element: Fire
School: Tengawara Middle school
Soccer style: Contrary to what people would think, Keima is not a team player. Instead, he is the type to shoulder all responsibility of scoring goals, sometimes by himself. He wanted to be a pillar for Tengawara so bad he willfully took this responsibility. With a past of Setagaya Elementary, his highest stats are speed, second to his kick power. However, his dedication to sports goes to parkour and exercise, lowering his level compared to others his age with similar abilities.
His greatest strengths in the field are the independence and critical thinking he forged from parkour. He can analyze the best course of action to dribble past an opponent and reach the goal. Adding his powerful shoots that are developed to zoom past the keeper, he has become a great asset for Tengawara. Outside of the field, he likes to motivate his teammates to not lose hope and move forward, using himself as the anchor of hope. On the downside, his rash conclusions often lead him to underestimate the opponent and losing the ball. Furthermore, he neither takes part in defense or is not very skillful at it. Lastly, his independence has a downside: he rarely relies on his teammates when he is close to the goal. For him to depend on others, a strategy needs to have been agreed upon beforehand.
Strengths: A natural optimist, he is willing to make people see the bright to any bad. Other Notable Personality Features: He suffers from PTSD, an anxiety disorder that developed after Kin's death. When his death anniversary comes close, he is unable to focus and blanks out of conversations and begins to hear voices. Nightmares about the day Kin died assault his sleep, increasing his remorse and regret. Furthermore, he is unable to decline someone's feelings if he wants said person or does not want to hurt their relationship, selfishly wanting to be loved but not taking a step to take it himself--he likes to be praised and admired but has no intention of truly giving back, pretending to act humble about it.
Enemies: His fatal flaws have caused Chika's boyfriend to despise with his whole being. The boy is aware the Chika is only dating him because he resembles Keima. Similarly, Keima is aware their relationship is unhealthy but refuses to stop his childhood friend from pursuing him.
